Item Bibliometric Analysis of Literature on Application of Mobile Technologies in Libraries (2006-2016) using LISTA(INFLIBNET Centre, Gandhinagar, 2016-11) Sahu, Archana; Jena, PuspanjaliThe study presents a bibliometric analysis of 128 research publications in the subject area of application of mobile technology in libraries covered by the LISTA database during the year 2006-2016 (July). The study has focused to discover the authorship pattern, degree of collaboration, frequency of distribution, geographical distribution, co-occurrence of authors and co-word analysis. For that reason DRM technology has taken place, which is not a single technology or not a single philosophy. It refers to a broad range of technologies and standards. DRM is neither thin nor thick copy right. DRM is potentially a planned technique for absolute protection of works. Retrieving searching and filtering massive uncontrolled database of the Web pages presents new challenges. The role of traditional libraries has been changed by the introduction of Internet access. So the users now have access to more information than before; that they must rely on search engine to retrieve and rank the results of their searching. Thus this paper highlights the customer-based information retrieval through search engine by classifying the need of customer into five categories such as functional, hedonic, innovative, aesthetic and sign needs of customer.Item Utkal University Library Services Towards Research Scholars : An Analysis(INFLIBNET Center, 1998-03-04) Jena, PuspanjaliThe central library of the Utkal University. known as the Parija Library. has a good collection of books, journals, back volumes, palmleaf and paper manuscripts for use. To assess the quality of library services to its research scholars, the author has conducted an opinion survey of a sample of 23 research scholars with the help of a structured questionnaire. The findings of the survey deal with the convenience of working days of the library; use of the library by the scholars; library collections and helpfulness of the staff; usefulness of the library services. The scholars in general possessed a negative opinion towards the usefulness of the library services.
