Item Building An Institutional Repository With DSpace(INFLIBNET Centre, 2008-11-06) Thakuria, JuliPaper deals with open source institutional repository software specially DSpace. After defining the terms, it discusses implementation of DSpace as an institutional repositories. DSpace has developed a model that allows users to use the system, submit and use content, and administrators can organize and configure the system. The institutional repositories were identified through a study of the literature, as well as internet searching and browsing. Each of the Institutional Repository software has a lot of features, unique facilities and excellent capabilities, which the users could explore and experiment. But in this paper we have tried to compare only, two Institutional Repository software i.e. Dspace & Eprints & its role in building Institutional Repositories along with the comparison the various aspects of D-space & E-print software, the various institutions using it in India for their Institutional Repository. Now almost all the university libraries are procured/ subscribed e-resources for their user community. Here an attempt has been made to study the use of e-resources by the Post Graduate Science Students in the Tezpur University Central Library.
