Item Bibliometric Analysis of Literature on Application of Mobile Technologies in Libraries (2006-2016) using LISTA(INFLIBNET Centre, Gandhinagar, 2016-11) Sahu, Archana; Jena, PuspanjaliThe study presents a bibliometric analysis of 128 research publications in the subject area of application of mobile technology in libraries covered by the LISTA database during the year 2006-2016 (July). The study has focused to discover the authorship pattern, degree of collaboration, frequency of distribution, geographical distribution, co-occurrence of authors and co-word analysis. All the data were collected and analyzed in tabular format and on the basis of the analysis some inferences were made.Item Bibliometric Study of Textiles Research Literature of IJFTR(INFLIBNET Centre, Gandhinagar, 2016-11) Lokhande, Amogh S; Sawant, Priti PThis bibliometric study of ‘Indian Journal of Fibre and Textile Technology’ (IJFTR) was undertaken to understand the year-wise distribution of articles, authorship pattern of articles and geographical distribution of affiliations of the authors of articles, to calculate the average number of authors per article and to identify the top authors in terms of articles contributed. Based on the data collected for the study, it has been found that the number of articles published every year increased, that multiauthored articles outnumbered single-authored articles indicating a collaborative research and publishing pattern, that share of authors affiliated in India was about two-third of all authors with authors from as many as 23 countries contributing an article. The average number of authors per article was 2.94, and, Das, A. from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (India) was the top author with as many as 14 article contributions.Item Trends in Research Productivity: A Bibliometric Analysis of Dibrugarh University Publications using Web of Science(INFLIBNET Centre, Gandhinagar, 2016-11) Gogoi, Manisha; Borua, Reema Mozinder; Kalita, Kabita BoraThe present study contains a Bibliometric analysis of bibliographic records published from 2006 to 2015. 533 items retrieved from Web of Science were studied. It shows increasing publication trend of the Dibrugarh University. The study includes year wise distribution of publications, domain wise distribution of publications, collaborating countries of the institute, authorship pattern and collaboration trend of publications, institutional collaboration of publications, preferred channels of research communications, citation impact of publication,etc. The average output of the organization was 53 publications per year; the peak was 88 items in 2014 and the minimum was 15 items in the year 2006. Single authorship publication accounted for 5%, while multi authorship publication of articles accounted for 95 %. The top 30 institutions which collaborated with Dibrugarh University accounted for about 50.28% share. It was seen that the publications of Dibrugarh University received a total of 2581 citations during the period of 10 years. The average citation per item was 4.84.
