dc.description.abstract | Millions of documents in Indian Archives and approximately 5 million manuscripts written on various forms of writing material scattered throughout India are in urgent need of digital preservation. Paper manuscripts with the passage of time are getting fragile and brittle because of various reason. Lamination or encapsulation does not seem to be a permanent solution of preserving the cultural heritage for the posterity. | en_US |
