While the open science movement has been gaining momentum in different parts of the world, the movement hasn’t gained due momentum in India. Like most other parts of the globe, science in India is also facing a severe crisis in various aspects. Unfortunately, appropriate action has not been taken to address the problem in science in India in a holistic manner. With the Open Science movement accelerating globally, it is vital to understand India’s position in formulating and implementing OS initiatives and policies.
