Abstract
The information landscape is changing rapidly; the reasons for these changes are discussed.
The paper outlines the acquisition of electronic resources at Salford University
along with the chronological history and expenditure as a percentage of the overall learning
resources budget. Past, present and future developments for providing access to expanding
e-resources collections are discussed. The paper further discusses the implications for
managing e-resources
