Abstract
Due to the increase in cost of e journals, the library professionals have initiated the sharing
resources in cooperative acquisitions, document delivery and inter library loans. The paper
highlights the importance of library consortia in this digital era stating its salient features
and pricing models. This paper also discusses about the FORSA and INDEST Consortium.
