| dc.description.abstract | Internet is one of the valuable and probably most used information resources for the present days. There is hardly any topic on which information is not available on Internet. But the problem with it is automated indexing and poor recall and precision of retrieval. Tough in some cases, search formation are not formulated properly, still the performance of Internet or website is not satisfactory. Here, an approach of building subject base Internet resources is discussed under the heading of subject gateway. It may be a better tool for retrieving subject information in comparison of popular search engines. Different sides of ‘subject gateways’ are discussed to manage the growing web resources. In conclusion the role of information professionals in this regard is discussed. | en_US |
