Unlike libraries, there is no single catalogue in which you can identify or retrieve the item you are looking for. Evolution of tools to find and access graphically rich multimedia components as well as textual data thereby freeing from restrictions of FTP archives made Web more popular. These tools made it possible to find and access this richness. Finding the Web documents ( Web "pages" or "sites") you want can be easy or seem impossibly difficult.
